Senior Infrastructure and Network Security Administrator

Install and configure client environments in an MSP setting, deploying Fortinet firewalls, VMware NSX, and Microsoft tools. Monitor networks, ensure security, conduct audits, and optimize performance. Write technical documentation in French and English. Stay updated on networking trends, test new features, and mentor junior team members on Fortinet and VMware NSX.



Responsibilities

 

  • You will install and configure client environments in an MSP setting by implementing network devices and robust security systems, including configuring Fortinet firewalls, integrating VMware NSX virtualization solutions, and utilizing Microsoft tools to ensure a reliable infrastructure.
  • You will manage the daily operations of infrastructures by monitoring networks and securing environments through advanced diagnostics (authentication, replication, DNS, SSO, MFA), ensuring high availability and resilience through proactive management of Fortinet equipment and the virtualized NSX network layer.
  • You will conduct on-site audits to analyze existing setups, identify security vulnerabilities and optimization points, and deploy corrective measures to enhance network protection and performance.
  • You will write technical documentation and Scopes of Work (SoW) in both French and English, collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance with quality and security standards during deployments.
  • You will stay up to date with technological advancements in networking and security, test new features in a lab environment, and share your expertise—particularly on Fortinet and VMware NSX solutions—with junior team members.

 

Requirements

 

  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managed services (MSP).
  • Experience in managing and optimizing complex environments with expertise in networking and security.
  • Proficiency in Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP), VMware (vSphere, NSX), and Microsoft (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, SQL, Entra ID).
  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues related to network infrastructure security.
  • Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
